Tenohira is the northernmost coastal city in Fiadh, and is the last stop for traders heading north around the penninsula to Yuanen and the Istigh seas. Tenohira is a sprawling city with a relatively humble port and central plaza. The city follows the Tenohira river up into the Faulan mountains. Though the city stops short of the river's sources, a road continues up to the springs where the river begins, and there is a hot spring and resort which renowned across Fiadh for its simple but rejuvenating hospitality

The city at large has propsered due to the rich natural resources of the river valley and the northern tip of the Yutakana Archipelago, combined with strong trade between the western countries, Yuanen, Naer, and Fiadh. This prosperity manifests itself in beatiful architecture throughout the city, and world class concerts in the Tenohira Hall, which was built on the river's edge, and through which the walking bridge passes. The hall is square, four stories tall, and is sunken down into the earth two stories. Once a arena for lethal honor duels, the hall has been converted to the pursuit of the arts
