Tann was built on the border of the sprawling Weisewald forest, overlooking the Eirin plains. The Obronach river runs directly though the city on its way south toward Iaran and the Istigh seas. The city is built between the large trees that make up the border of the forest, stretching out over the branches of the Obronach river, which is split into four separate rivers where it meets the city. The residents planted one of the large trees 600 feet out from the edge of the forest, connected to the city by a long rope bridge. Embedded into the tree is a watch tower which gives the city more visibility on the border of the forest

Tann is the midpoint on the long road that serves as a trade route between Mearcair and Cruach, which is the only major road that connects the eastern and western ends of the continent
