Down the rabbit hole,
During the clean up of the Pirate Fort we met up with a hydromancer with a particularly … Flowery name I think she said Vajanna but I was a little too embarrassed to ask her to re-say her name. Maybe it was a cultural/translation thing but I have decided to just call her V.
While Flint has seemingly forgotten about his obsession about the book and has replaced his obsession with getting out of the fort and tracking down Perry Blackwater. On Flints insistence Jew Ra myself and V decided to take off after Perry with the hopes of getting him and halting what presumably will be his life long hunt of us.
After spending quite some time tracking down Perry we come to find him hanging off the side of the cliffs on the north western corner of the Island. Flint suddenly becoming ill complains about feeling bad and lays down and quickly passes out. Taking to hurling insults at Perry in attempts to egg him into a fight which in hind sight probably not the best way to handle the situation. Finally Jew Ra kicks part of the cliff down onto Perry's general location causing Perry to have to dive from the cliffs revealing himself to be a hydromacer himself and riding off on a block of ice he created.
Realizing Flints worsening state Jew Ra rallied us into dragging Flints body back to the Pirate fort to get him back onto the White Lotus boat and back to civilization and medical attention, though with out continuing luck we find out that the Whit Lotus has forgotten us and have left. Fortunately we notice a large pirate ship on its way into the harbor.
Not wishing to be killed by pirates we took to hide on a hill giving us a high point to watch the pirates and there movement on the island. While setting up defenses on the hill V manages to spot runes on a rock and that the runes seemed to go further down the rocks edge below the grass line. Jew Ra decided to dig out the rock that ended up being a carved pillar in the middle of a stone hexagon wall when the runes start glowing. After a few minutes of study Flint manages to wake up long enough to remember that he has seen these runes before at the bottom of the pit in the temple where we first adventured together. while V and myself were inspecting the runes we noticed they glowed a little brighter as they were touched shortly after the pillar dropped into the earth and the and the “platform” were standing on started descending into the earth. After a hour of going down on this platform to the point of not being able to see the light from the opening above the platform comes to rest 40 feet about the stone floor of the shaft.
Sitting in the cool darkness a stone gangway comes out to meet the platform as a rock dropped from a far distant height splinters on the platform alerting us that the pirates have come across the hole into the earth.
