History

The kingdom of Sehti formed during the birth of nations era in the Terran Stone Age. Sehti occupied the valley between the Faulan mountains and the Sliabh mountains. It was neighbored by Jhenee to the north, Kalmar to the south, with Hito to the west over the Faulan. Sehti was a peaceful kingdom, which focused on agriculture and animal husbandry. About half of the population was nomadic, driving large herds around the plains

Sehti joined the Jhan'Ahkha'tar alliance, but when Jhenee began to maneuver a political takeover of Sehti, a civil war broke out. Though originally unprepared for warfare, Sehti had a distinct tactical advantage over Jhenee, cutting of access to the river delta transportation system on which Jhenee depended. This was accomplished via the alliances Sehti formed with Kalmar and Hito. Sehti was victorious, but years of war had changed their society. After the war, a tentative empire was formed, (Sehti'Ahkha'tar) spearheaded by the Sehti, including the lands of all four kingdoms

The Kalmar province would later invade Tael'Reshk without sanction from the emperor, as its power over the other kingdoms was in decline. The war would last many millenia, and Tael'Reshk gained allies. Sehti and Kalmar would engage in a civil war for control of the empire, which weakened Kalmar allowing Tael'Reshk and its allies to be victorious, and the empire fractured back into three kingdoms. Hito rebranded itself as Hito'Maru, while Sehti became Sehti'taal. Both Kalmar and Sehti'taal learned much in that era, and ended up forming the Jhua'nen alliance to regain their former strength

This sparked an era of expansion, colonization, and conquest. Sehti'taal founded colonies in Aeye and Naer, conquering Akkau settlements it found. They carved out a pass through the low-point in the Sliabh mountains, and build a massive obelisk on the salt flats which they hoped would draw colonists and build a thriving economy around a salt trade. What they ended up getting was an exodus of dissidents that no longer wished to be part of the kingdom. in the early years of the blood wars, Sehti'taal shipped their prisoners to the new colonies and granted many of them pardons in exchange for work contracts

Kalmar would later declare war on Reshk'tar which would begin the Age of Blood and Sehti'taal would join in this effort as their ally. With their resources dedicated elsewhere, the colonists on Craic would secede to form the kingdom of Nae'eri. Meanwhile, on the front lines of the battle against Reshk'tar, Sehti'taal's enemies were growing, with the inclusion of a new Carragh tribe, the Lili Mute, which allied against the western invasion force. Kalmar faltered in the war efforts, suffering several key defeats. Sehti'taal used this to reform the empire, absorbing Kalmar's territories and forming the new kingdom of Jhua'nen

This new empire would see many military victories, though this would only serve to polarize the remaining kingdoms in the east, bringing the war efforts to a stalemate which lasted over a million years. Eventually, the hostilities would cease, due to war fatigue and severely reduced military capacity. The Council of Ceilidh marked the end of the blood wars and ushered in the Age of Balance

Sehti, which had gained and lost many territories, became part of the nation of Yuanen. At the time this included Sehti territory, present day Fiadh, and all of Kalmar's territory on the western side of the Sliabh mountains
