The city of Kiyume lies on the shores of the shallow Bay of siochana where the Siolta river empties into the bay. Kiyume is a trade hub, connecting the interior of the continent to Arutal and the world beyond it. Despite its size, its connection to Arutal, and its heavy focus on industry, Kiyume is a slow paced city

The ports of Kiyume are as extensive as they are beautiful. As the churning waters of the Siolta river approach the city, they are diverted into a massive, artificial delta. Ores from the mines and food supplies from the Treunka plains float down the river and are diverted across the city for processing. The blue-green river channels weave through the city, under arched limestone bridges on their way to the crystal clear Bay of siochana. On the shores of the city lies a sprawling port littered with flat bottomed barges destined for Arutal
