Kirshl is one of the four sacred groves within Saor, land of the Baumeni. Planted by the Baumeni in the First Age, Kirshl was the third sacred grove to be planted. The grove was planted shortly the ancient cherry tree living there was discovered in 1.844M BCE

The grove at Kirshl, full of ancient, tall cherry treesThe groves are an important cultural fixture in Baumeni society, serving as a destination for pilgrimage, a shelter in time of need. Many baumeni travel to the grove to meditate and commune with the ancient spirit within the grove. Visiting all four of the groves in order is a rite of passage for young baumeni once they are old enough to understand the visions experienced when communing with the great trees

The visions experienced when communing with the great tree in Kirshl are the most extensive and vivid of the four vision quests. They follow the life of an ancient baumeni that lived through the entirety of the blood wars, a rare nomad that traveled across terra. Influential throughout the many events of that age, the visions showcase the strife and violence of the age. The visions end shortly after the advent of the Age of Balance. This vision is deemed the most important vision of the four, and it is considered to play a major role in developing the characteristic wisdom of the baumeni in the younger generations

Within the grove there is no infrastructure of any kind, save a few stepping stone paths that wind through the grove. Outside the grove there is a small settlement woven into a handful of oak trees. A small contingent of baumeni and ulfar serve as the grove's keepers and protectors
