Khnue is an ancient Sura of water, born after Dhanu the Deva of Water, and Sujen the eldest Sura of water. Khnue is a trickster Sura who takes great delight in meddling in the affairs of the ki spirits and humanoids alike. In addition to hoodwinking unsuspecting creatures, Khnue also loves thwarting plans with little regard to the potential destructive impact. That said, Khnue takes no pleasure in killing creatures and rarely does so on purpose

Khnue's pure elemental form is a truncated icosahedron. Khnue's humanoid element form is of medium build with abnormally long arms. When appearing as animal, Khnue most often chooses a dolphin, unless some advantage can be gained by appearing as another animal

Khnue regularly appears as whatever humanoid form is best suited to the particular deception at hand, but prefers species with a neutral gender whenever possible. Regardless of the species, the physical appearance is chosen with so much variation as to pose no pattern. When not trying to deceive, Khnue always chooses to appear as a young Neridae with grey eyes, deep red skin, and green vine-like hair that is always blooming with small white lotus flowers. It is said that the only time you can trust anything Khnue says is in this exact form, which Khnue uses when in need of trust. If the form has a single difference, such as green eyes instead of grey, then Khnue is not bound to honesty. Legend has it that this appearance belonged to a special Nereid that Khnue fell in love with ages ago, who died at the age of 5,324 despite Khnue's long-standing efforts to keep them alive
