Kahch is built on the site of a large shrine, the meaning of which has long been lost to the ages. The shrine, a 170 foot obelisk, streches up from the city square. The obelisk was constructed of white marble and obsidian in a stratiated pattern, the peices of which are puzzled together in sweeping contours with craftsmanship so fine as to give it the appearance of a natural phenomenon. At the base of the obelisk is a spherical room carved out of the stone, large enough for two to three people. The seams in the stone split slightly to allow pinpricks of light to penetrate into the otherwise dark room, creating the illusion of being among the stars. The shrine hums with a strong ki aura and cannot be affected by petramancers. Sailors and travellers often stop to touch the tower, in the hope that it will provide good fortunes on their journeys over the sea

The city's agriculture sprawls out from the shrine over the rolling hills and plains of the island. The food grown on the island is mostly staples and is sold to ships in need of supples as they make longer voyages across the Fuechsin seas

Once a year, the city holds a festival to celebrate the harvest, believing that the ki energy from the obelisk provides for their abundant crop yields year after year. Celebrants don masks painted in swirling white and black colors, and small cakes resembling the Taijitu are sold, baked with the juice of the cacti from Seonin forest, which is midly psychedelic. The cakes, combined with the hypnotic festival music, are said to induce visions of the obelisk's original construction. Citizens of Kahch claim that experiencing the vision strengthens the ki aura of the obelisk
