Ebisa is an ascendant Sura of Water, transcending the humanoid form after Aruna but before Ikate, the other ascendant Suras of Fire. Ebisa is the Sura of unity, honor, and duty. Prior to ascending, as an Ileroi child, Ebisa was orphaned, shipwrecked, and set adrift in the Grand Stream. After wandering and scrounging for two years, he was taken in by human parents. Ebisa never forgot this, and felt a strong sense of community, working hard to defend his new homeplanet. After Ebisa ascended, he continued to look after his homeworld, directly helping his people, transforming the planet to a paradise and protecting it from its enemies

Ebisa's pure elemental form is an elongated octahedron, and his humanoid elemental form has a heavy build made entirely of solid black stone. Ebisa's animal form of choice is the jellyfish, though he will occasionally appear as a common local species
