Deirfiur is one of two cities situatied below Sahodara lake, the other being Dearthair. Deirfiur was one of the first Carragh cities, founded by the Jan Anpa Carragh. These Carragh are born deep below the surface and their sprawling city reflects this. The majority of the city is almost a mile deep, and is more a collection of small villages than it is a city. Though officially open to outsiders and other Carragh, this city prefers to keep the number of visitors low. They have very little in the way of trade, which is mostly conducted with Dearthair

The majority residents of the city occupy themselves with the business of survival. Excess free time is often devoted to family socialization and artistic expression. Anpa society places a high value on civic duty

The city itself is a winding maze of beautifully carved tunnels and passages, centered around a large cavern which is the cultural and physical center of Anpan society. The cavern's ceiling is covered in large, bioluminescent crystals. The crystals take the rivulets of water that trickle down from the lake above, coalescing them into larger flows that fall to the floor below. These pools are the resident's primary source of water, and are considered sacred
