Aisling is the first planet in orbit around Sol in the Sol star system. It is comprised primarily of swirling gasses which are a myriad of blues, purples, and whites. At the center of the planet is a solid core which is home to humanoid life

History

Aisling was the first planet to form in the Sol star system (4.9B), coming into existence even before the precipitation of Sol itself. At this time, Aisling was only a small planetoid made a solid iron core and a crust of earth and stone. Aisling gathered up a significant portion of the heavier gasses in the system when bonding with one of the primal air spirits. Together the spirit of the planetoid and the gasses formed what is known today as Aisling

1.25 billion years would pass before the first plant life would begin to develop on the surface of the inner core. Plant life diversified and created a stable ecosystem on the surface over the next 7 million years. It was at this time that the first animals developed, the first sentient creatures in the Sol system. Over the next 6 million years the ecosystem of the planet adapted to the new species which continued to appear. Humanoid life began to develop at 6.28B years, which made them the first rational creatures in the Sol system

At present day, the awakening of stone has not yet occurred, but will occur soon if it follows the pattern of the other planets in the system. As such, the inhabitants of this planet have not traveled beyond the extents of their planet, and the swirling gasses on the planet have left the inhabitants mostly unaware of the outside world. Early in the history of the humanoids of this planet there was a solar storm which provided a brief and limited look at the sky above. The view at the time showed a near aligned Terra and Dearg. At the time, this event was not completely understood. It eventually developed into a legend, which the present day inhabitants believe to varying degrees

Terran perspective

From the perspective of the inhabitants of Terra, Aisling is a beautiful swirling ball of gas. They are unaware of its central solid core and believe the planet to be comprised entirely of gasses. Aisling features heavily in the terran calendar due to the frequency of solar eclipses which colors Sol's light in shades of blues and purples
