After the end of the Great War, Tael'Reshk was no longer facing their enemy, Kalmar. Without this external threat, old ancestral ties resurfaced, and the southern regions of the country seceded, forming a new Kingdom, Cnahk'tah. The remaining territories to the north rebranded their kingdom, naming it Reshk'tar. The difference was more than just the name, as the ruling court was replaced with older families which had lost their place in court when Tael'Reshk originally conquered the territory from Shak'tar
Many years later, under the percieved threat of invasion, Cnahk'tah and Reshk'tar would form a close pact called the Shak'tar alliance, as their combined territory and heritage was very similar to the ancient kingdom of Shak'tar. This alliance would gain a third member when the coastal regions formally declared an independent kingdom, Gherth'Jhaa
All three nations would join in defense when Kalmar invaded Reshk'tar, an event which would spark eight million years of bloody fighting. Along the way, the Shak'tar Alliance would gain the new carragh tribe, the Lili Mute as an ally. This partnership allowed the allies to eventually push back the Kalmar clear to the Sliabh mountains. After this campaign, the Reishk'tar Empire was formed, cutting up the new territory into provinces and dividing it among the allies. It was decided that the royal houses should split the territories along ancestral lines, and the resulting situation returned the political landscape, at least territorially, back to what it resembled when Tael'Reshk and Shak'tar originally formed. Not long after, Cnahk'tah and Gherth'Jhaa would officially merge into the new Kingdom of Gherth'tah
As Jhua'nen continued to expand its territories, it also continued raids against the Reishk'tar Empire, the empire fought back and eventually formally declared war against its rival. Gherth'tah would join into an alliance with Reishk'tar against Jhua'nen. Aru'taal would also formally join the alliance, and Saor and Kilig would join unofficially. Eventually, after millions of years of fighting, it would become clear that no victory was in sight and that prolonged warfare was degrading terran's globally. This global realization led to the the Council of Ceilidh and the dawn of the Age of Balance
