The Kolraka are a species of solitary creatures that are agile, self-sufficient, and the most intelligent creatures in the galaxy. They even exceed the Tyroi, which are more widely known for their intelligence. Unlike the Tyroi, the Kolraka rarely employ their mental gifts for the benefit of others

Kolraka have slender bodies, supported by four legs. They have four arms, two of which have hands with long slender fingers. The other two are tentacles with suction cups lining the underside. Their feet have similar cups which allow them to be excellent climbers. Their skin is clammy and is typically lightly patterned with slightly darker patches of skin, occasionally including limited bioluminescence, exhibiting a light blue light. Their faces humanoid, and are broad with wider set eyes relative to the other humanoid species. Their ears and noses do not protrude heavily from their faces. They have no hair, but do have thick tentacles protruding over the back of their head which appear visually similar to thick braids of hair, and which curl slightly at the ends

The Kolraka are respected throughout the galaxy, and are highly sought after for their intelligence and skill, if they can be persuaded to work with others. Without an organized population to take sides in conflicts, the Kolraka are viewed as intentionally nuetral in most matters

Kolraka are natural adventurers and are extremely practical, grouping up with adventuring crews whenever the situation calls for it
