The largest Carragh city on the planet, Athair serves and the cultural and political center of the Carragh people. The city is completely subterranean, carved out of the mountain itself by Sliabh's master petramancer sculptors and engineers. The citzens can enjoy several beautiful hanging gardens, and though they are quite expansive, they do not rival the beauty of the gardens in Dearthair and Deirfiur. Athair was also home to Sliabh's most famous historian, a Lili Mute Carragh known now only as “the Builder”. Making historical record an obsession, the Builder created the vault above the city.
