Anigian has a sizeable population of Carragh that have lived among the humans since the beginning of the Second Age, originally leaving Sliabh over philosophical differences, shortly after the founding of the city

Anigian was built on the site of an outpost of Kalmar that had already carved extensive mining tunnels into the mountain, which were rumored to connect to a passage that connects to the eastern face of the Sliabh mountains in Koraha.
