Taon is built on the northern shores of the [[Alcion Bay]], on the penninsula between the bay and the [[Istigh Seas]]. The city is the first stop in the ocean trade routes that extend out from [[Ceilidh]], and the city cooperates with [[Reithe]] in its anti-piracy efforts, dedicating more than half of its sprawling docks to the service of the massive Reithan armada

Like most Korahan cities, Taon is a coastal city, built near the sea to escape the harsh desert climate of the interior of the country. Taon is linked by road to [[Hauma]] and [[Kohanga]], and the city has large land ports dedicated to the trade caravans that cross the desert

The city's buildings are constructed almost entirely out of reinforced sandstone, crafted by the country's petramancers and engineers
