Taisce is the fifth planet in (the fourth) orbit around [[Sol]] in the Sol system. It is the largest planet in the system, though it's core is fractured, with one quarter of the planet's mass suffering from extreme fracturing. The loss of such a large fraction of the planet has severely decreased the ocean levels on the planet, exposing large areas of the sea floor as new continents, turning the old continents into expansive plateaus

===== Terran perspective =====
From the perspective of the sentient inhabitants of [[Terra]], Taisce is a broken planet. To their knowledge, there is no evidence of sentient life on the planet, though it is theorized that some plant life, and possibly some animal life may exist on the planet. In culture, Taisce is often characterized as what becomes of a planet if it is abused, or at the end of its lifecycle, serving as lesson to young terrans to teach them stewardship over their planet
