Scoilt is built at the base of the falls as the [[River Laidir|Laidir River]] spills over the plateau down to the [[Eorna Plains]]. Large water wheels capture the energy from the falling water, which is primarily used to cut timber making its way from the [[Honehe Forest]] down the Laidir River to [[Ceilidh]] and the other cities of the plains. The logs fall directly over the falls and are funneled downward, cut, and the dried before being packaged and floated down the river

The city itself is built vertically, cut into the plataeu cliffside behind the falls in steppes. A complex clockwork of elevators powered by the falling water transport people and goods up and down the city's length. Scoilt is best known for The Perch, a restaurant suspended among the waterfall and the waterworks with views of both the city and the plains below
