Sclata is the second largest [[Carragh]] city after [[Athair]], and is built among the interlocking basalt columns of [[Baelhe Island]]. The city is partially submerged, with a third of the city being above ground but still below the towering columns that cover the island. Music and song can be heard echoing off the faces of the columns at all times of the day and through the night. The citizens are deeply spiritual, and find purpose in attempting to give voice to the [[carragh#Stone Song]] through the composition of music. Aside from the day to day tasks of the city, the citizens seem to focus on little else, but do take frequent breaks to socialize. A smaller subset of the city's population focus on expressing the Stone Song through other artistic mediums

The citizens of Sclata are pleasant and polite, even to strangers, though it can be difficult for outsiders to form true bonds with residents of the city. Unlike other cities, the city sees itself as a single clan, and are fiercely loyal, even by [[carragh]] standards
