Kaiser operates the academy observatory along with [[Yesmina Nowak]], his wife. The two of them take regular readings for several research projects, the most notable of which is a study of the increasing sentience in the [[galaxy:galactic geography|Ardemare Galaxy]]. Kaiser is friendly and extremely rough around the edges. Unfailing blunt and without tact, Kaiser will comment on just about anything that crosses his mind, which is just about everything. He will often get lost in thought or forget that is hosting guests at all. Kaiser is obsessed with the mysteries of the galaxy, and is working on several theoretical models on how the universe behaves, specifically on the interaction between humanoids and the elements using ki

When not tending to the observatory, Kaiser can usually be found in the engine control room and even in the engine compartment itself. A few times a semester Kaiser and Yesmina will visit the Tea Gardens or the Refectory together
