Ialus is a coastal town on the [[Eilc Sea]], where the [[Shau River]] meets the coast, at the eastern end of the [[Prahari Cliffs]]. It is home to the largest waterwheel on the planet, capturing the energy of the river as is cascades over the cliffs into the ocean. The city is built upon the shale coast between the bluff and the shore. The waterwheels sit up against the bluff where the Shau River flows over the bluff, cut halfway into the rock of the bluff, fed by channels diverted from the flow of the river

The waterwheels power lumbermills, millstones, and provide mechanical power to the city's every day needs, including acting as an escalator transporting goods, people, and even boats up to the top of the bluff
