The city of Erenga rests on a plateau, overlooking [[Raweni Bay]] in [[Koraha]]. Originally founded by the ancient kingdom of [[Khan'laheeri]] as a part of its expansion north to the present day [[Koraha|Korahan]] coast. The city was conquered by the Ulfar of [[Akkaus]], reconquered by the [[Khan'laheeri]] in the [[timelines of terran historical ages#Age of Honor]], lost again to [[Akkaus]], and then later abandoned. Eventually, refugees that fled to [[Inis]] returned, and resettled [[Koraha]] in the [[timelines of terran historical ages#First Age]]. When the city of Erenga was repopulated, many of the buildings were still intact, as its past inhabitants had fled instead of fighting, now returned to re-establish the ancient city

The city was restored and revived its ancient role as a safe haven from the wars of ancient eras long past. It is well known across terra that all are welcome in this city, regardless of their past or present troubles. The city has an elaborate welcoming ceremony that they perform regularly, as the city has continued to grow throughout the [[timelines of terran historical ages#Third Age]]. A new member of the city will climb the stone staircase carved into the rock, which connects the port below to the city above. The city's mayor and many residents will follow behind, making the journey up the steps, together

The city itself is built out of a mixture of clay and sandstone. The buildings are simple, usually square structures with a spherical, domed roof. The buildings are painted with a white lime-based plaster, and the domes of the city are painted in bright and varied colors. The city streets are narrow, and usually protected from the sun by cross beams and hanging linens. The residents dress in plain white linens, though they usually wear accents with bold colors, such as scarves in winter and turbans in summer
