Ebisa is an ascendant [[ki spirits#Sura]] of Water, transcending the humanoid form after [[Aruna]] but before [[Ikate]], the other ascendant Suras of Fire. Ebisa is the Sura of unity, honor, and duty. Prior to ascending, as an [[Ileroi]] child, Ebisa was orphaned, shipwrecked, and set adrift in the Grand Stream. After wandering and scrounging for two years, he was taken in by human parents. Ebisa never forgot this, and felt a strong sense of community, working hard to defend his new homeplanet. After Ebisa ascended, he continued to look after his homeworld, directly helping his people, transforming the planet to a paradise and protecting it from its enemies
