+Talasa is a city among water, inbetween the wetlands and the river delta. Realistically the only access is by water, and no large boats can penetrate the wetlands. This offers the city a certain kind of seclusion
 +
+The city itself is built upon stone foundations that were brought down the river from the mountains, and settled into the waters of the delta. The waters flow around and through the city. Each stone slab is roughly 100-150 feet across and 30 feet tall, though only 5-10 feet of the slabs are above the waterline. The blocks have no particular shape, lending the city a patchwork style design. The blocks are connected by arched bridges, leaving room for boats with larger cargo to pass under them. In the residential areas, the bridges have almost no arch, as a higher arch is not needed
 +
+Within the city, the banyan trees of the wetlands still grow up relentlessly along the sides of the blocks. A few blocks have completely succumb to the delta, large vines and roots growing up through their cracked frames. These blocks are repurposed as gardens and parks
 +
+The people of Talasa dislike tightly packed cities and crowds, and the layout of the city reflects this disposition. The city sprawls over a 50 mile area, a network of interlinked communities, each connected by a series of smaller stone slabs built into a meandering road
